If your idea for a podcast is in a very tight niche and you have been wondering about how long you will be able to generate content ideas, then this episode is for you.

But before that, have you ever felt that your idea is too narrow for a podcast?

Or, that you wouldn’t be able to continue producing content for your show because of lack of ideas?

I am sure at least some of you would.

It isn’t uncommon, when your interest lies in a very tight niche and you aren’t really sure about how viable the niche would be.

But then if you have a genuine interest in the topic and you are ready to spend time to research and dig deeper into the topic, you wouldn’t worry about that.

Which is precisely what Rohan Thakar did.

Rohan hosts a podcast in the Cycling & Triathlon niche.

For a lot of us, that would be a difficult topic to produce content in.

But not for Rohan.

The niche has a community around it with a lot of enthusiasts. Rohan knew it and since he was a Cycling & Triathlon enthusiast, he knew how deeper and wider he could go with his topic.

And that’s what he has done with India’s exclusive podcast for Cycling & Triathlon enthusiasts – Hit The Road.

In this episode we talk to Rohan and understand from him about his Podcast and also chat about his company Ep.log Media that he founded in 2018 when he was just 22.

Content Planning in a Microniche with Rohan Thakar from Ep.Log media

What were you doing when you were 22?

At least I was scratching my head trying to figure out what I wanted to do in life.

And this is what most youngsters do at that age. But to be focused on a goal and to pursue it with enthusiasm needs a different temperament.

Which is where the guest on our show is different.

Today I have a young entrepreneur on the show, who is also a podcaster. In fact he is a podcaster-entrepreneur who is also an avid cyclist, a nature lover, a runner and who claims to be an introvert. Now there seems to be some connection between introverts and podcasts.

He founded his company Ep.Log media in 2018 at the age of 22 under the mentorship of his media veteran father – Mr. Abhijeet Thakar, which is now a leading Indian Podcast Network having 50+ shows in diverse genres.

He is passionate for technology and host for India’s exclusive podcast for Cycling & Triathlon enthusiasts – Hit The Road. Listen to the show and you will realize how passionate Rohan is about the topic and the discussion that he does with his guests.

There’s a lot to learn from this young podcaster.

So sit back, grab a cup of coffee and let’s welcome Rohan Thakar from Ep.Log media to the show.

Here’s some of the things that we discussed in the show.

  • The importance of evaluating your topic
  • Why you could start a podcast on anything and how there is a podcast on everything
  • How do you plan the content in your microniche
  • Why it is important to understand your topic and to gauge your pace for your show
  • The role of Ep.log media in creating podcast awareness
