Travel Podcast

One of the advantages of starting a podcast in comparison to some of the other mediums like blogging, vlogging etc. is that you don’t really need to spend a lot of time thinking if your show will have an audience.

Why?

Because all of those thinking has already been done in some of the other mediums and you have a ready made research available.

If you see a successful Youtube channel that is about a specific topic, you know that there is an audience for that topic. All you need to then do is customize it for the audio platform.

Similarly if you see a blog on a specific topic that is extremely successful, do you really think that you need to do the research all over again to see if that topic has an audience?

Travel, Fashion, Finance, Technology, Inspiration etc. are all excellent niches in which you can easily start a podcast. All you need to then do is plan on the value your show will offer your audience.

It is here that Saif and Faiza excelled.

They were getting into a highly competitive niche like Travel podcasts. They obviously had the advantage of being the first ones in podcasting but that wasn’t enough advantage in a niche like Travel.

The show had to be different and at the same time had to offer value to its listeners.

And that’s precisely what the two of them did with their Podcast – The Musafir Stories.

In this episode we will find out exactly how they did it and what led to The Musafir Stories becoming one of the most listened to Travel podcast in India.
