podcast management business

In this episode, you will learn how to run a podcast management and consulting business, as I talk to Simona Costantini, the founder, and CEO of Costantini productions a full-service podcast production agency.

Podcasting is simply amazing in the many opportunities that it offers in terms of running a business. Until a few years back, I used to hear just the one thing when it came to making money with a podcast – sponsorships.

But so much has changed over the last few years.

Podcasting has so many ancillary business opportunities that, making money with podcasting is no more restricted only to sponsorship and advertisements.

Podcast production, consulting, and management are becoming one of the most sought-after services today. With more and more brands and businesses wanting to enter into podcasting, and with the many benefits that outsourcing the production and management of podcasts offers, it makes sense for businesses to look for people and companies that can offer them these services.

And that opens up so many different avenues for podcasters to run a business around podcasting.

A couple of weeks back, I spoke with Marc Ronick, the found of iRonick Media, a production company, and learnt some tips on running a podcast production company

This week, we will get a little deeper into it and learn how to run a consulting and management business in Podcasting.

Podcast Management and Consulting Business

A podcast consulting and management business involves quite a few things.

From a business’s perspective, it starts with identifying the podcasting needs of the business. What’s the objective with which they are starting a podcast, is it going to be for internal consumption or, external consumption, what are the resources at their disposal etc. are some of the things that you might want to look at before you advise them on what route to take.

When you are consulting an individual podcaster, it is easier because you just need to help them figure out the reason for starting their podcast and help them get started.

But, the second part which is podcast management is where things get a little more technical and difficult.

If it is a business that you are managing the podcast for, then you will have to manage everything end-to-end for the podcast including planning the episodes, helping the business record and edit the episodes, publishing and promotion etc.

For individual podcasters too, the responsibilities are pretty much the same.

Success in this will depend upon how well you are able to manage the entire show for your clients and how you are able to help them achieve the goal with which they have started the podcast.

So, what is the difference between Podcast Management and Podcast production?

I am sure this is your question too.

While both these terms are used as a synonym for each other, it actually isn’t the same.

Podcast management involves managing a podcast for somebody – a brand, a company or, an individual and includes everything from conceptualization, ideation, launch, recording, editing, publishing and promotion.

Whereas, podcast production involves managing the process of recording, editing and publishing.

This also means that Podcast production is a subset of podcast management.

Which of these two is for you will depend upon your resource availability – time, support etc.

00:02:23 Simona

Thank you so much for having me.

00:02:25 Simona

I'm so excited to be on here with you today.

00:02:28 Dilip

Me too.

00:02:28 Dilip

Simona and I know that I'm going to get a lot of information from you, especially now that you've just come back from Potfest.

00:02:35 Dilip

There is going to be a lot more information that I will be getting from you about attending these kind of conferences as well.

00:02:43 Dilip

So before we get into all of these things, Simona what I would like to do is give a little intro about you to the audience about.

00:02:53 Dilip

What happiness Happens podcast is why did you get into podcasting and what is your experience with podcasting?

00:03:01 Simona

Yes, I love that question.

00:03:03 Simona

I am so grateful that you.

00:03:05 Simona

Passed it so my podcast is called happiness happens and I actually started the show back in 2018. As I was going through a difficult time in my life and I was learning a lot of new things about myself and about the way that the world works and around me and all of that stuff. And I kept thinking to myself. You know, if I'm going through.

00:03:26 Simona

All of this right now.

00:03:28 Simona

There has to be somebody else in the world who must feel the same way as me on some level, and then you know, I've started thinking to myself.

00:03:38 Simona

Maybe the best way to communicate how I feel and.

00:03:42 Simona

What I've been going through.

00:03:44 Simona

And to bring people closer together was to create a podcast.

00:03:50 Simona

So I created the podcast out of the desire to help people feel less alone.

00:03:55 Simona

To be honest, I wanted people to have a spot to go where where they could feel understood and heard.

00:04:02 Simona

And you know, feel supported in whatever that they were experiencing in their lives.

00:04:07 Simona

And then the way it sort of evolved over the last few years.

00:04:10 Simona

Is now I speak specifically with people about.

00:04:14 Simona

About happiness and what happiness means to them.

00:04:17 Simona

And you know, exploring that with all kinds of people around the world.

00:04:22 Simona

And I learned so much every single time, and so that's how I got into podcasting originally and then through that started out my own production company.

00:04:31 Simona

And now I produce podcasts for my clients.

00:04:34 Simona

As well As for myself, every single week and so yeah, I'm really immersed in it.

00:04:40 Simona

There's a lot to a lot to learn and I have so.

00:04:43 Simona

Much to share with you all too.

00:04:44 Simona

OK.

00:04:46 Dilip

Right, Simona a question that I had.

00:04:49 Dilip

I was listening to your podcast and I see that you talk about talk a lot about happiness for entrepreneurs and in terms of entrepreneurship, there is a lot of discussion that you do.

00:05:02 Dilip

Any specific reason why you specifically?

00:05:06 Dilip

Talk about happiness in entrepreneurship.

00:05:10 Simona

That is a great question.

00:05:12 Simona

You know I have to say, I think because.

00:05:15 Simona

Entrepreneurs, I feel like are often the most isolated types of people in their industry.

00:05:22 Simona

You know, there's a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes, and you know in being an entrepreneur and having your own business, and there's a lot of time that you spend by yourself and what happens is.

00:05:33 Simona

And what I've learned is, you know a lot of the times.

00:05:35 Simona

When people are entrepreneurs, it's typically because they don't fit the mold that you know.

00:05:39 Simona

Society would tell you you should be or how you should be, how you should act and.

00:05:43 Simona

All of that I know for me.

00:05:44 Simona

Self becoming an entrepreneur with that exact journey.

00:05:47 Simona

You know I, I am definitely the I.

00:05:50 Simona

I would say outcast in my family because I'm different and you know I wanted a different type of life and with that comes you know friends and family not really understanding why you do specific things or you know why you would work.

00:06:05 Simona

So many later hours, if you have to, and so it's really about that.

00:06:07 Simona

To table.

00:06:10 Simona

You know just that idea of supporting entrepreneurs and helping them really tap back into their purpose, why they started.

00:06:17 Simona

And the overall.

00:06:18 Simona

Happiness and the journey that they're looking for.

00:06:21 Dilip

Right and I can so much relate to that that part where you mentioned that people don't understand why we work for 15 hours, so I see so many people coming and you know, advising me why I shouldn't be doing it, why I should be focusing more on, you know all of those you know other activities and.

00:06:24 Simona

Right?

00:06:41 Dilip

In spite of the fact that I try to make them understand as much as possible and I it's not that I'm sacrificing my, you know friends time or my family time.

00:06:50 Dilip

But still, yeah, I always see that there is that.

00:06:55 Dilip

Advise that keeps coming as to why I shouldn't be doing that so I can perfectly understand what you said.

00:07:01 Simona

Exactly and you know, I really think that a.

00:07:03 Simona

Lot of the times.

00:07:04 Simona

It's like people will.

00:07:05 Simona

Tell you something and they'll tell you, oh, you.

00:07:07 Simona

You know you shouldn't do this.

00:07:08 Simona

It's safer to go and get a job, and it's safer to do all of these other things, but I have to be honest with you, especially throughout the pandemic.

00:07:15 Simona

In COVID and all of that, I was working a job.

00:07:17 Simona

I used to work in a corporate job.

00:07:19 Simona

I had a great job, you know it was fine, but it was never something that I actually really wanted to be doing.

00:07:24 Simona

My whole entire life, right?

00:07:26 Simona

And you?

00:07:27 Simona

Know that safe cushy?

00:07:28 Simona

Job that I thought that I had.

00:07:30 Simona

I got let go.

00:07:32 Simona

I got furloughed because it was in the travel industry.

00:07:35 Simona

I didn't have, you know there was no job security anymore so this job that everyone on the outside thought was so safe and so secure ended up being, you know, the number one job that probably wasn't and so that really shifted my perspective in so many different ways that.

00:07:51 Simona

You know it's not.

00:07:52 Simona

It's not always one way.

00:07:55 Dilip

Insecurity part is always there with the job.

00:07:57 Dilip

And yeah, that's where there is a lot of disconnect.

00:08:00 Dilip

So simeona now.

00:08:03 Dilip

Since you focus a lot and you're targeting a very specific market and for example, you know if I am to look at the happiness from an entrepreneurship perspective, I think that isn't something that is a very commonly discussed.

00:08:17 Dilip

Topic and so I don't even know if there will be an audience if entrepreneurs will want to take that time out to understand why they need to be happy in whatever it is that they're doing so.

00:08:31 Dilip

How did you come to that niche and did you find that the market was very limited?

00:08:37 Dilip

Or was it easy for you to get your audience?

00:08:40 Simona

That's a really great question.

00:08:42 Simona

I so I really like self development podcasts.

00:08:46 Simona

Like I really enjoy listening to people like stories and that kind of stuff and I think.

00:08:52 Simona

What I like so much about that is just because it was really reassuring to me in those times that.

00:08:56 Simona

Were really difficult.

00:08:57 Simona

And so when I I say this all the time, I say, you know, if I were to go back and launch my podcast all over again years ago, I would do probably like a million things differently.

00:09:10 Simona

But I also would do.

00:09:12 Simona

Everything the same at the same.

00:09:13 Simona

Time, so I'll

00:09:14 Simona

Tell you why, so I would do so many things differently because I've learned so much about what it takes to.

00:09:18 Simona

Launch a.

00:09:19 Simona

Podcast and launch.

00:09:21 Simona

A really good.

00:09:22 Simona

Podcast, you know?

00:09:23 Simona

But at the same time.

00:09:25 Simona

I would have never have.

00:09:26 Simona

Learned all of those things.

00:09:27 Simona

If I didn't launch.

00:09:28 Simona

My show in.

00:09:29 Simona

The way that I did so.

00:09:30 Simona

Very late.

00:09:31 Simona

Right, and so when I launched my show, initially I had no audience.

00:09:36 Simona

I launched to like I didn't even really have a social media presence.

00:09:39 Simona

I didn't have an audience at all really, and I just launched it purely out of passion.

00:09:45 Simona

Now the shows that I launched today are shows that are, you know, more in the entrepreneurship.

00:09:52 Simona

World so they have, you know, a different purpose.

00:09:54 Simona

To them, they're typically, you know, an extension of somebody elses business.

00:09:58 Simona

Or an extension of what someone else is creating and they already have that online presence, right?

00:10:05 Simona

So you know when I was doing my show, I didn't really have an itch when I first started and it really has evolved and grown with me as I've continued to grow.

00:10:13 Simona

But again, it's not the way that I would launch a show now.

00:10:17 Dilip

But I I can understand I I was I was about to come to that second aspect of.

00:10:17 Simona

They they.

00:10:24 Dilip

Of your consultation business.

00:10:26 Dilip

But before I get into that because I know that they're also you're very focused and your niece is very limited.

00:10:28 Simona

Yes, yes.

00:10:33 Dilip

But what I would like to know from you, Simona and and I think you will have a lot of experience in terms of building an audience in such a tight knee.

00:10:42 Dilip

So how today you know for people?

00:10:45 Dilip

Building and.

00:10:46 Dilip

Audience means going to social media, posting a few you know, maybe tips there or maybe an audiogram and then they expect the audience to come the traffic to come, but I'm not really sure if that is the best way of doing it because I don't think personally that that is the best way of doing it.

00:11:06 Dilip

So what?

00:11:06 Dilip

According to you are in some of these ways that people can build on.

00:11:12 Dilip

Means which probably a lot of people aren't talking about today.

00:11:16 Simona

Me, I love that well.

00:11:18 Simona

I like that you said that to begin with because I do also think that you know your audience is so much more than just making a social media post online.

00:11:26 Simona

You know when you, when you're when you're building a podcast and when you're creating a podcast.

00:11:32 Simona

What I like.

00:11:33 Simona

To the way that I like to think about it is that you're creating a community around your show.

00:11:38 Simona

You're creating a place for people who you know have similar interests.

00:11:42 Simona

Want to learn similar things to come to learn and understand, and grow, and so you know in terms of building an audience.

00:11:50 Simona

I think social media definitely definitely plays.

00:11:52 Simona

A big part in that you.

00:11:54 Simona

Know you definitely want to have that community online.

00:11:58 Simona

But how you do that is totally up.

00:12:00 Simona

To you so.

00:12:01 Simona

Some people will like to use different Facebook groups.

00:12:04 Simona

Some people use specifically Facebook.

00:12:08 Simona

For example.

00:12:09 Simona

Some people will only use.

00:12:10 Simona

Instagram some people will use Tik T.O.K.

00:12:13 Simona

But then you also have different things like you know newsletters.

00:12:17 Simona

Or running ads and meeting new people through running ads.

00:12:23 Simona

That's not something that I personally do in this current moment, so I won't speak to that too too much.

00:12:27 Simona

And I know you probably don't really want to get into that anyways.

00:12:29 Simona

But you know, I, I think that when it comes to building your audience, it really does come down to your content and then you also want them to do something.

00:12:38 Simona

Next right, you want to take them on a journey with you so you know whatever it is that you're wanting them to do next.

00:12:45 Simona

Is it to subscribe to a newsletter to download a free resource that maybe you've created?

00:12:50 Simona

You know to maybe?

00:12:53 Simona

Join you on social media or you know, enter into your membership program so there are so many different ways to build like that audience.

00:13:02 Simona

I think the biggest piece though, is to really think of it in terms of building a community of people.

00:13:08 Simona

And then once you build up that community, the audience follows and then you have those followers.

00:13:14 Simona

Who are excited to listen to your show?

00:13:16 Simona

You know who want to share your episodes with their friends and with their family and the people that they know.

00:13:21 Simona

And I think that it takes time and I think it takes, you know.

00:13:25 Simona

I wouldn't say time to it.

00:13:26 Simona

I don't think it takes time to like grow a podcast to a big audience like to have a.

00:13:30 Simona

Lot of listeners, but I think it does take you know, a little bit of time for to build that community piece and that only happens through the content that you're putting out on a regular basis.

00:13:41 Dilip

So basically first the content or the foundation has to be strong and then it is all about building that community where.

00:13:50 Dilip

You know people.

00:13:51 Dilip

Kind of refer you get you more audience so.

00:13:54 Dilip

So that's something that you know we should try to do right.

00:13:58 Simona

I would say so, yeah, I definitely would say so, including that in your launch strategy would probably be very helpful and very a very good way to approach launching your show.

00:14:09 Dilip

So coming, coming to what you do in terms of the podcast, consultation and podcast.

00:14:14 Dilip

Management and I see that once again you've picked a very focused needs, because when I see people are into podcast consultation, they aren't really focused on a specific type of audience, so they do it for individual podcasters.

00:14:30 Dilip

They do it for branded podcasts for corporates so, but.

00:14:34 Dilip

You have very specifically mentioned that you work with entrepreneurs or 6 figure.

00:14:41 Dilip

You know owners to get their podcast off the ground, so.

00:14:46 Dilip

From an Indian market perspective, I know that for corporates or for brands podcasting isn't something that they would prefer to get into right now and only people are getting to know about podcasts.

00:14:59 Dilip

But was it easy to pick that specific niche and get started with your business?

00:15:05 Simona

It really was for me.

00:15:06 Simona

It was so.

00:15:07 Simona

Easy for me to pick that niche and it almost fell into my lap that way.

00:15:10 Simona

I have a lot of friends who are entrepreneurs to begin with and so when I launched my services initial.

00:15:15 Simona

Only a few years ago I was working with entrepreneurs.

00:15:20 Simona

It on their podcast already and you know my clients would refer me different business that were also entrepreneurs.

00:15:27 Simona

And I think that I just have this natural draw towards other entrepreneurs because I find them so incredibly inspiring.

00:15:35 Simona

And I get to learn so much in so many different niche markets because they're not all the same, right?

00:15:40 Simona

All of the podcasts are different.

00:15:42 Simona

You know some of my clients are in health and Wellness.

00:15:44 Simona

Some of them are in parenting.

00:15:45 Simona

Some of them are former journalists, you know some.

00:15:48 Simona

Of them are in marketing.

00:15:49 Simona

And business, and so there's.

00:15:50 Simona

All kinds of things to learn, and there's so much different.

00:15:53 Simona

10 and I really think that the entrepreneurship niche found me, uh, I don't think that I.

00:16:01 Simona

Could have picked it if I tried.

00:16:04 Simona

I honestly think that I'm meant to be working with entrepreneurs because I get their mindset and I understand why they do the things that they do.

00:16:11 Simona

I understand you know how their podcast builds into their bigger marketing strategy and marketing plan and also with my like experience in my corporate.

00:16:21 Simona

World with the corporate like the corporate.

00:16:23 Simona

Life that I used to have.

00:16:24 Simona

Of it was working with professionals, so you know not to say.

00:16:30 Simona

Like I mean, I do have a few podcasts that are just, you know, just for fun and just passion projects and that kind of stuff.

00:16:35 Simona

But I would say.

00:16:37 Simona

That you know everything that I do, the the lens in which I launch a podcast you know at the end of the day.

00:16:44 Simona

Regardless of the client, they do have some kind of business goal in mind.

00:16:47 Simona

Whether that's like monetizing their show.

00:16:51 Simona

Or doing you know something of that nature, it always ends up being businessy in some sense, so it's kind of nice to have that that perspective to be able to offer them that when they're looking for it.

00:17:05 Dilip

So if I'm to ask you, is finding clients in the business niche easier or is it easier to get, you know, individual clients for podcast consultation?

00:17:18 Dilip

What do you think is more difficult?

00:17:21 Simona

I think more difficult is the regular everyday person because.

00:17:27 Simona

You know, if.

00:17:27 Simona

Someone is just creating a podcast for fun and maybe they don't have.

00:17:30 Simona

A business for example, and correct me if I maybe have misunderstood the question wrong, but people who have some kind of business or are in some kind of corporate space or what have you?

00:17:41 Simona

They have the money to dedicate to producing the show.

00:17:44 Dilip

Goodnight

00:17:45 Simona

Yeah, and so I find a lot of the times people.

00:17:47 Simona

Who don't have that business behind them?

00:17:50 Simona

They don't really have the funds and the money to be able to have their show produced for them, so it's completely.

00:17:58 Simona

It's completely different.

00:17:59 Simona

Like you know, my clients don't even think twice about being able to, you know, pay for the services.

00:18:05 Simona

It's something that they want to do because they understand that it's.

00:18:07 Simona

A different way of.

00:18:09 Simona

You know, getting new clients and it's a different way of growing there.

00:18:11 Simona

Business, right?

00:18:12 Simona

It's an asset to their business, whereas someone who's doing it for fun.

00:18:16 Simona

You know, maybe they'll have in mind that they want to monetize their show or something like that.

00:18:23 Simona

But they're also.

00:18:24 Simona

Not really thinking of it in terms of like part of their business plan.

00:18:28 Simona

You know what I mean?

00:18:29 Dilip

Yeah, yeah, absolutely.

00:18:30 Dilip

And that that makes real sense because I know it.

00:18:34 Dilip

It'll be very difficult to get those people started off with their podcast primarily because there is going to be some investment into all of that.

00:18:45 Dilip

You know getting started with podcasting and then for the consultation and people think.

00:18:49 Dilip

Wise, before investing into something that they aren't even sure they're going to continue in the long.

00:18:54 Simona

Exactly, it honestly you you hit the nail on the head and I think the difference between you know working with an entrepreneur is like an entrepreneur knows that they want to have that podcast as part of their business for as long as their business is probably existing, right?

00:19:06 Simona

And so it makes it easier for them to be able to, you know.

00:19:10 Simona

Fork over that cost if you will, whereas like you're saying.

00:19:14 Simona

And someone who is maybe just doing it for fun wouldn't necessarily go and like pay all this money for someone else to produce it for them when they would probably just do it themselves, right?

00:19:25 Dilip

Great yeah.

00:19:26 Dilip

And similar, so when it comes to finding clients, I think this is an area where a lot of us have problems.

00:19:34 Dilip

Now you know there are all of those cliche tactics where people say OK, come on Instagram.

00:19:40 Dilip

Post valuable content.

00:19:41 Dilip

There will be people and then DM them.

00:19:44 Dilip

All of those things.

00:19:45 Dilip

But people do all of that.

00:19:47 Dilip

But when it comes to actually pitching your services to somebody, people are still reluctant.

00:19:53 Dilip

You know they aren't sure if they should be doing it.

00:19:56 Dilip

If they're doing it the right way, and all of that, so finding clients becomes one of the most difficult things for me.

00:20:03 Dilip

Since you are in focusing on a very specific kind of an audience.

00:20:09 Dilip

What is your method to acquire clients and how difficult have you found it to approach clients and pitch them your services?

00:20:19 Dilip

And if you've had to make any, you know tweaks in specific to some specific audiences or something like.

00:20:29 Simona

That's such a great question.

00:20:30 Simona

So when I first started my business a few years ago, I actually started it on fiber and you may be familiar with fiber already, but it's a freelancing app, right?

00:20:39 Dilip

Yeah, yeah.

00:20:41 Simona

Yeah, so it's so.

00:20:42 Simona

It's a freelancing app and I just went on.

00:20:44 Simona

There I created three different gigs that I could, you know, do for people.

00:20:49 Simona

One was like creating an intro and outro.

00:20:51 Simona

One was editing, you know a 30 minute episode and then editing like a 60 minute.

00:20:54 Simona

Episode and then I just started working with my.

00:20:57 Simona

Clients through there.

00:20:59 Simona

And I was still working full time at the time when.

00:21:01 Simona

I first started this and.

00:21:03 Simona

And honestly, when I launched my business officially, I had said to those clients, you know, I'm going out on my own.

00:21:11 Simona

If you want to sort of like continue on together at a little bit of a better rate.

00:21:17 Simona

You know, send me an e-mail and we can go from there and then what happened was everyone from Fiverr came over to my business.

00:21:27 Simona

Which was so nice and it was kind of amazing.

00:21:32 Simona

And you know, I'm very blessed and very lucky.

00:21:35 Simona

My clients refer me business all the time.

00:21:39 Simona

Like my clients, I would say 98% of them like 98% of the time. Pretty much comes from having a referral business so.

00:21:51 Simona

So it comes from referrals.

00:21:53 Simona

I mean it's taken some time to get to that point, which is why I think it's important to mention the piece about fiber because it was something that really did allow my business to grow and really did allow me to tap into different markets and try new things and help different people.

00:22:08 Simona

But what I would say is one of the biggest things is you know.

00:22:13 Simona

I would say making sure that you're putting out good content that's related to whatever it is that you want to be doing online.

00:22:21 Simona

I think that you know, even though people will say you know whatever they'll say about social media, it's still really important to have that presence and.

00:22:30 Simona

The reason why is because let's say you're going to be a guest on a podcast, or you know.

00:22:34 Simona

You wanted at a.

00:22:36 Simona

Speaking event or something like that.

00:22:38 Simona

Regardless of what it is that you want to do, you know you need to have that online presence because that's what people are looking for when they come to you.

00:22:46 Simona

So your potential clients are going to come and they're going to look at your social media.

00:22:50 Simona

They're going to look at your website.

00:22:51 Simona

They're going to look at your past work you.

00:22:53 Simona

Know they're going to.

00:22:54 Simona

Look and see all of those different things right?

00:22:56 Simona

If you don't have anything to show for that.

00:22:58 Simona

If you don't have anything on, even if you don't post on social media for like you know, two weeks.

00:23:03 Simona

For example, if you don't have anything on your page that'll draw them in and tell them why they should work with you, they're not going to see why they should work with you, right, and.

00:23:12 Dilip

If they.

00:23:12 Simona

So you know.

00:23:13 Simona

Even so, some of my clients now.

00:23:16 Simona

That come from that space of.

00:23:18 Simona

Of you know, not being a referred client or not being referral business.

00:23:22 Simona

I always ask them I say how did you find me and they'll say I just put in the hashtag, you know, podcast expert or podcast producer.

00:23:29 Simona

And that's how I found you.

00:23:31 Simona

And I always think that that's so amazing.

00:23:33 Simona

Because that's from posts that I put out so long ago, you know.

00:23:36 Simona

Right?

00:23:37 Simona

And so if that content never.

00:23:38 Simona

Existed, that client would have never felt like I was the right fit to help them.

00:23:43 Simona

They would have never reached out and we never would.

00:23:45 Simona

Have hopped on a.

00:23:45 Simona

Call, so that's one way that I think is really important for people to remember and to consider, you know, is that it really does matter what you're putting online.

00:23:57 Simona

And then, in terms of the actual client like retention piece, if you will, it's so important to care about your clients and to care about the work that you're doing and not saying like be a people pleaser and go and do all of this extra work.

00:24:14 Simona

All of this extra stuff.

00:24:16 Simona

What I'm saying is.

00:24:17 Simona

Really care about what it is that you're producing for someone you know you have to care about the.

00:24:24 Simona

And result and the product that you're delivering.

00:24:27 Simona

You know people are trusting you with their hard earned dollars, right?

00:24:31 Simona

And you know you have to do what you say you're going to do, and you really have to build up that relationship so you know relationships for me and business is the number one thing I would rather sit on a call with someone for one hour.

00:24:45 Simona

Then to cut them off short at 30 minutes.

00:24:48 Simona

You know what I?

00:24:49 Simona

Mean I I just.

00:24:50 Simona

Think that I.

00:24:51 Simona

Don't know there's.

00:24:51 Simona

So much to that, what do you think?

00:24:54 Dilip

Yeah, and it makes sense because that relationship that you're building is probably the foundation for getting additional clients, because the experience that they've had with you is what they're going and talking about and which is why all of those references are probably coming.

00:25:09 Simona

In it, that's exactly it.

00:25:10 Simona

It that is exactly it, and you know my clients really do say like.

00:25:14 Simona

You know if their friends are like, oh, you know I'm looking for someone to help me with my show.

00:25:18 Simona

My clients have no problem being like, oh, you know what I should introduce you to the editor on my like, the editor who does my stuff, or the producer who does my stuff. You know, because she's XY instead. And she, you know.

00:25:28 Simona

'cause you know it's just a good job, right?

00:25:31 Simona

But it's only because I've done that good job for them for so long that they trust me with their contacts.

00:25:39 Dilip

But right there, yeah, absolutely.

00:25:41 Dilip

So you know that quality of work and that relationship is probably it's not just about building that relationship with that specific client, but I think that is the foundation of running a business like this, because like what you said, you know.

00:25:59 Dilip

We will have to rely on our existing clients who can go and talk well about us in order to get us more business.

00:26:06 Dilip

Instead of focusing on any of the other channels, I think that is the the best channel.

00:26:10 Dilip

To look at.

00:26:12 Simona

Exactly and you know I have to say to like, you know, maybe think about and for everyone who's listening right now.

00:26:17 Simona

Really think about like what are your values in your life like.

00:26:20 Simona

What do you value from other people when you purchase a service from someone?

00:26:25 Simona

What's important to you?

00:26:27 Simona

About that service, or the way that they are or how they they run their business.

00:26:32 Dilip

Right?

00:26:33 Simona

You know what is it about that specific thing that you absolutely love?

00:26:38 Simona

And if you love it so much, the odds are you know your clients or future clients will also love that about your service, right?

00:26:47 Simona

And so for me, like in my business.

00:26:49 Simona

Kindness is the number one value it's, but it's also the number one value.

00:26:54 Simona

In my life, and so if I can approach people, situations and things with a lot of empathy and understanding in my regular day-to-day life that I can also do that in my business as well, right?

00:27:08 Dilip

You're right.

00:27:09 Dilip

Yeah, true so too.

00:27:11 Dilip

So when it comes to your business similar now, podcast management and consultation can mean a lot of things.

00:27:18 Dilip

There will be a lot of things that go into it, So what are the specific things that you focus on when it comes to supporting your clients with?

00:27:27 Simona

Yes, I love that question.

00:27:29 Simona

So my service is focused primarily first on helping people launch their podcasts.

00:27:35 Simona

So I have like an online course that people can do to either do it themselves or I'll do it for them.

00:27:40 Simona

So that's like the two ways that I would launch a podcast with someone so they would either go through the online course and do it at their own pace and do their own, you know?

00:27:48 Simona

Or I would do it for them so we do my team and I we do everything for our clients so we do all of the you know you know from starting up your your concept, your creation, your cover art, creating your intro, your outro, your trailer, your marketing plan, all of the marketing pieces and assets.

00:28:08 Simona

That will go with that.

00:28:09 Simona

So it really is full service on the podcast launch side.

00:28:14 Simona

You know blogs, SEO strategy, keyword research uploads to YouTube.

00:28:18 Simona

Like really, whatever the client is looking for and.

00:28:21 Simona

Needs we do.

00:28:22 Simona

That we also do, you know, some PR, some public relations with that as well.

00:28:27 Simona

So if we have, you know, show launching we'll do press releases like that kind of stuff, which is great.

00:28:33 Simona

And after that what happens is you know the client can kind of choose whatever it is that they want to do.

00:28:38 Simona

However, it is that they want to do it, so I do have podcast management services as well, so my.

00:28:44 Simona

Clients, will you know?

00:28:45 Simona

Come on for you know full.

00:28:47 Simona

Management so that would be, you know us managing their show.

00:28:51 Simona

You know one episode every single week, every single month and which is amazing so.

00:28:57 Simona

I think that might.

00:28:58 Simona

Answer your question, but that's kind of how I have.

00:29:00 Simona

It structured, it really is full service and I like it to be like turnkey.

00:29:05 Simona

You know, like if someone comes to me and is asking me for specific help, you know I don't want them to to do anything other than hit record, you know, but that is just my clientele like my my audience like not my.

00:29:17 Simona

Audience, sorry, my client really don't want to do any of the other.

00:29:21 Simona

Any of the other stuff they don't want to do.

00:29:23 Simona

Any of the.

00:29:23 Simona

Tech right they.

00:29:24 Simona

Don't want to do any of the setup, so I just built my packages with that in mind because that's what I.

00:29:26 Simona

OK.

00:29:26 Simona

Right?

00:29:29 Simona

Knew people like didn't want to do at all.

00:29:33 Simona

So that really helps you like understanding what your clients want from you is a big deal because that will sort of dictate the types of packages that you you know that you create and how it continues to evolve.

00:29:46 Dilip

Right so and one of the reasons why I asked you this question is because when you were starting off with this business and with so many things that go into podcasting and today to be very frank, you know I've been running three podcasts along with my wife and.

00:30:01 Simona

That's amazing.

00:30:02 Dilip

If I take the other two off.

00:30:04 Dilip

This one podcast itself is so taxing.

00:30:07 Dilip

There are so many things that go into it, right?

00:30:09 Simona

I know.

00:30:10 Dilip

You need support and you in addition to running your own show, you are managing this for your clients, so you cannot do it without support.

00:30:20 Dilip

But when you start it off, did you do it all by your own?

00:30:24 Dilip

And then built a team who was able to support it.

00:30:27 Dilip

How did you do it and what is the best way of getting started?

00:30:28 Simona

And yes.

00:30:30 Simona

Yes, I love that question.

00:30:31 Simona

I love what you said so much because.

00:30:33 Simona

Honestly, you know sometimes I think people look at entrepreneurs and they're like, Oh my gosh, they do so many things.

00:30:38 Simona

How did they do it all?

00:30:39 Simona

But I'll be the first person to tell you I could do nothing without my team.

00:30:43 Simona

There was, there's no way that I could do all of the things that I get to do every.

00:30:46 Simona

Single day without having an.

00:30:47 Simona

Amazing team that gets to.

00:30:48 Simona

Help me and you know I.

00:30:51 Simona

Would say so when I first started.

00:30:54 Simona

My business, I did everything myself, but that's because I had the time to do that, right?

00:31:00 Simona

I did all of the editing and all of the.

00:31:03 Simona

Show notes all of the social media, all of that stuff.

00:31:06 Simona

And then probably about 3 months into my business starting.

00:31:12 Simona

I was like OK.

00:31:13 Simona

I need a little bit of help here, like let.

00:31:14 Simona

Me see, you know?

00:31:16 Simona

If there's someone that could help me or what I could outsource?

00:31:19 Simona

And you know what are the things that you know?

00:31:21 Simona

I don't really want to do every single day that someone else would probably love to do every single day.

00:31:26 Simona

And so about three months after starting, I took a leap of faith and I hired on my.

00:31:32 Simona

Team member and she's amazing and she is like my right hand.

00:31:36 Simona

She does so much different stuff so she she focuses more on the content side like she'll create social media stuff.

00:31:42 Simona

And like all like the graphics and that kind.

00:31:44 Simona

Of stuff which is super great.

00:31:47 Simona

And then it was.

00:31:47 Simona

Like little steps after that, like you know, realizing that I needed one more editor on my team and then OK, one more editor on my team and then OK one more.

00:31:54 Simona

Editor on my team after that.

00:31:56 Simona

And but you know.

00:31:57 Simona

I I'm a big.

00:31:58 Simona

Believer in like you know.

00:32:00 Simona

I like people will say like you know, hire slow fire fast but I believe in a higher fast and also like fire fast.

00:32:09 Simona

You know what I?

00:32:10 Simona

Mean like you.

00:32:11 Simona

Sometimes you have to take that leap of faith and and just sort of.

00:32:15 Simona

Know that somebody else has your back and like we'll be able to do it to do what it is that they say that they're going to.

00:32:21 Simona

Do but also if it's not working.

00:32:23 Simona

Out you need.

00:32:24 Simona

To be able to say like you know what this is not.

00:32:27 Simona

It's not what I was thinking, is not what I was imagining, you know.

00:32:30 Simona

Thank you so much, but at the end of the day, it's just busy.

00:32:32 Simona

That's right, and again though I come back to that kindness piece, making sure that everything you do, even with your team is from a kind hearted place and from a place of, you know, wanting to have everyone succeed, you know.

00:32:33 Dilip

A date.

00:32:47 Dilip

They paid.

00:32:47 Simona

Uhm, so I don't know if that really answers your.

00:32:50 Simona

Question totally because you know it was.

00:32:53 Simona

Filled with a lot of fear, I won't lie like I was very scared to hire on my first team members.

00:32:58 Simona

I didn't know what that process was going to look like, and you know, I didn't want to.

00:33:03 Simona

You know my biggest thing at the time.

00:33:04 Simona

And I definitely don't think this anymore, but my biggest thing at the time was, you know, if I bring somebody else on.

00:33:09 Simona

Then you know the money that I'm making.

00:33:13 Simona

Isn't going to come to me, it's going to go.

00:33:14 Simona

To them and write it, but having that.

00:33:15 Dilip

Right, right?

00:33:17 Simona

Right?

00:33:19 Simona

But it's true.

00:33:20 Simona

But having that said, you know because I have her on my team because I have the editors on my team.

00:33:26 Simona

I get to take on more clients in different things and I get to do a bunch of different things as well, right?

00:33:34 Simona

So it's about the way that you look.

00:33:36 Simona

At it, but.

00:33:37 Simona

I definitely would like make sure that give yourself some time first to like see how much money are you making?

00:33:42 Simona

What is your?

00:33:43 Simona

What are your costs like?

00:33:44 Simona

How much money are you?

00:33:45 Simona

Spending every single month.

00:33:47 Simona

And then like you know.

00:33:48 Simona

Can you afford it?

00:33:49 Simona

You know how and then how do you afford it?

00:33:51 Simona

And then once you do decide to hire on a team, how does that change your packages and your pricing?

00:33:56 Simona

How you know there's so many different layers to it, but I don't know.

00:34:00 Simona

I think that you gotta step like outside of that fear place like I was in.

00:34:06 Dilip

I can so much relate to every word.

00:34:08 Dilip

That you said and simara

00:34:12 Dilip

Yeah yeah it and and I can.

00:34:14 Dilip

I can tell you that there are a lot of people who think the same way because when I talk to you know people who are planning to get started with the business kind of a podcast and I tell them that it is better that you know.

00:34:18 Simona

Baby food.

00:34:26 Dilip

Maybe offshore outsource the the editing part the.

00:34:29 Dilip

First question that comes to their mind is the exact thing that.

00:34:32 Dilip

You just mentioned.

00:34:33 Dilip

Is it OK now you you you're wanting me to hire in somebody who's going to take a share of what I am earning and I don't even know how much I'm.

00:34:41 Dilip

Going to earn.

00:34:42 Simona

Exactly, you know when I first started working with one of my newest clients, he's so great.

00:34:48 Simona

He is such an awesome guy and his content is so great.

00:34:50 Simona

He's from the mortgage space and he's a mortgage broker and I remember one of the first meetings we had when we were sitting down and we were going through everything he was like, OK, I want to do all of the editing and at the time I said to myself.

00:35:04 Simona

I said how?

00:35:05 Simona

Like and I.

00:35:06 Simona

Said to him, I said, how are you going to find the time?

00:35:08 Simona

To do that, you know, like you have a very busy life in a very busy job and he's like no, no, no like I want to do it.

00:35:13 Simona

I want to do it anyways, so then we started getting going and then he looked at me sick.

00:35:17 Simona

You know Simona he's like.

00:35:18 Simona

I don't think I want.

00:35:19 Simona

To do the editing piece.

00:35:22 Simona

No problem, I definitely understand.

00:35:24 Simona

And I was like I I.

00:35:25 Simona

Knew that was.

00:35:25 Simona

Coming you know, Oh my goodness, yeah.

00:35:29 Dilip

Yeah, and when you're hiring support for your team, Simona what?

00:35:35 Dilip

What does your experience say?

00:35:36 Dilip

Is it good to hire somebody full time, or is it?

00:35:39 Dilip

Good to go get.

00:35:40 Dilip

Maybe some other freelancers on you know some other sites like that of Upwork or something.

00:35:45 Dilip

So which would you recommend?

00:35:45 Simona

Oh yeah.

00:35:47 Simona

So I all of my team members are contractors, so they're all freelance, so I don't actually have anyone like on payroll or anything like that.

00:35:56 Simona

And to be honest, I prefer that a little bit better because.

00:36:00 Simona

It allows people to stay in their own zone of genius and what they love to do.

00:36:04 Simona

You know.

00:36:05 Simona

And then also, on top of that, you know they're also entrepreneurs and they also understand you know the way that like my mind works.

00:36:16 Simona

Well and you know they they just kind of get it and you know then they can.

00:36:21 Simona

We sort of agree upon like you know if it's.

00:36:23 Simona

An editor, we'll say.

00:36:24 Simona

OK, like it's this many episodes.

00:36:25 Simona

Per month

00:36:26 Simona

That's what you'll be editing and like that's every single month until you know further notice if you will, and then you know for my other team member who creates the content, we just have a.

00:36:36 Simona

That number of hours that we agree on every single month, and then if we go over that, if we have more hours then that's totally fine too.

00:36:44 Simona

But that's kind of how I started.

00:36:45 Simona

Was really just making sure that it was.

00:36:48 Simona

Very clear like what everyone was working on and then if we needed to add things in we would.

00:36:53 Simona

But just having that baseline of you know, this is where we're going to start and this is how we're going to start.

00:36:58 Simona

I think is super important.

00:37:00 Dilip

Right, yeah?

00:37:02 Dilip

I think you know going with freelancers also helps, because otherwise if there is a lot many other things that you will start have to start manage like for.

00:37:11 Dilip

Example the payroll.

00:37:12 Dilip

The taxes and all of those things, I think.

00:37:14 Simona

Yes, and also like if your team is in different parts of the world like my team is all in the US pretty much and I live in Canada.

00:37:21 Simona

So you know how do you even begin to pay people for taxes like our taxes are different here than it is over there, right?

00:37:28 Simona

And like all of that different stuff and.

00:37:28 Dilip

Right?

00:37:30 Simona

They're also in like US.

00:37:32 Simona

US funds right instead of Canadian dollars.

00:37:35 Simona

So even that is something that's different, and so you know it's.

00:37:38 Simona

Kind of cool.

00:37:39 Simona

Though, because you know you work with.

00:37:40 Simona

All kinds of different people who have so many different interests and then two, you know what I love.

00:37:45 Simona

The most is, you know you get.

00:37:47 Simona

To know

00:37:48 Simona

Them, their families, and all kinds of things.

00:37:51 Simona

You know what I mean?

00:37:52 Simona

And it just feels like you're making such a bigger impact that way.

00:37:55 Simona

I don't know.

00:37:55 Simona

It does to me anyways.

00:37:57 Dilip

Yeah, yeah, and I can.

00:37:59 Dilip

I can understand what you mean to say, and I think it it makes it is more than like working with a group of people who are just coming in to work just because they are getting a salary.

00:38:10 Simona

Yeah, exactly, they're there because they want.

00:38:13 Simona

To be there, you know.

00:38:13 Dilip

Yeah, yeah.

00:38:15 Dilip

So when it comes to these clients.

00:38:17 Dilip

That you manage Simona now.

00:38:19 Dilip

What according to you are the most common issues that you are?

00:38:24 Dilip

Clients face when you talk to them about getting started with the podcast and what are your strategies to kind of get over with those issues?

00:38:33 Simona

Yes, definitely this is a great question.

00:38:35 Simona

So the biggest things that my clients come to me for, the first things that they say they always say I don't know what tech to use and I don't even know where to start like I don't know what microphone to use, what headphones to use.

00:38:48 Simona

I don't know how to record my.

00:38:49 Simona

Podcast or anything like that so you know I would.

00:38:53 Simona

Give them my tips and give them my thoughts.

00:38:55 Simona

And then, you know, after a couple months of.

00:38:57 Simona

That I was.

00:38:58 Simona

Like you know what I was like I need to create a guide.

00:39:01 Simona

So I created.

00:39:02 Simona

A guide for people to be able.

00:39:04 Simona

To you know, download it.

00:39:06 Simona

And then they can just.

00:39:08 Simona

See what equipment they might be missing, what do they actually need to get started?

00:39:12 Simona

Like all of those different pieces?

00:39:13 Simona

So I think definitely the technology part is like very overwhelming for people and it's very confusing.

00:39:18 Simona

But I do have to say like it's not as overwhelming as it seems, you know.

00:39:23 Simona

And there's a lot of different like resources online to help you navigate.

00:39:28 Simona

Add in to go through that like, especially on YouTube.

00:39:30 Simona

There's tons of videos to teach you all kinds of stuff in terms of tech and and then another big one is, you know, are people going to listen, you know?

00:39:39 Simona

And what am I going to talk about and like that?

00:39:41 Simona

Impostor syndrome piece comes in.

00:39:43 Simona

And you know, I really like to remind people.

00:39:45 Simona

That regardless of what?

00:39:47 Simona

Podcasts are creating.

00:39:48 Simona

No one can say what you're going to say and no one can share what you're going to share the way that you will.

00:39:56 Simona

So in my opinion there is space for everyone in this form of media, and I think that everyone has something valuable to share.

00:40:06 Simona

And you know, I like to think a lot too, that the people who are listening to your show are the people who need to hear you the most, right?

00:40:13 Simona

And they're the people who want to learn from you, but also they will only.

00:40:20 Simona

How do I word this like they are?

00:40:24 Simona

Excited to learn from you in the way that you're going to teach it, and so if you and I both sat down and told a podcaster, OK, this is how you could launch your show.

00:40:33 Simona

You and I have very different people who would want to learn from us, right?

00:40:37 Simona

And so of course there's space for both of us in the industry because your clients are meant for you and my clients are meant for me, you know, I mean, just as like anyone else like you know.

00:40:47 Simona

Whatever business you have or whatever podcast you.

00:40:49 Simona

Have the clients that you have in that business or the guests that you bring.

00:40:53 Simona

On your show.

00:40:54 Simona

Those are the conversations that you're meant to have.

00:40:56 Simona

Those are the people.

00:40:56 Simona

That you're meant.

00:40:57 Simona

To be helping, that's how.

00:40:58 Simona

I like to look at things.

00:40:59 Simona

Anyways, so those are like some of the those are the two biggest ones.

00:41:02 Simona

And I think, truly.

00:41:03 Simona

It's just like that overwhelming amount of like.

00:41:07 Simona

You know how do I even get this off the ground?

00:41:10 Simona

And so I also created a guide for that too.

00:41:10 Simona

Goodnight

00:41:13 Simona

I just kind of took all of the.

00:41:14 Simona

Problems that people were.

00:41:15 Simona

Experiencing and I.

00:41:15 Simona

Was like you know what?

00:41:16 Simona

Let's put it in guide in this form so people can come back, reference it, and they can, you know, learn on.

00:41:22 Simona

Their own in their own way.

00:41:25 Dilip

Right, so now coming to.

00:41:27 Dilip

A question that I thought I'll ask you one after I saw that you've been to potfest, so you've been to potfest you met so many different podcasters and there were a lot of the other podcasters that I've been talking to.

00:41:39 Dilip

Who are also there and there would have been so much of information that you would have found there.

00:41:45 Dilip

So if I am to ask you what were your two key takeaways from potfest that you think is something that probably a lot of us podcasters aren't really focusing on?

00:41:58 Dilip

What will those be?

00:41:59 Simona

Umm I love that.

00:42:02 Simona

So I think the first one would definitely be the power of like your network and networking with other people.

00:42:08 Simona

One thing that I learned at Pod Fest was how much I actually don't network with the people in my own industry.

00:42:14 Simona

I think that's so important there's so much to learn from so many different people like you said.

00:42:20 Simona

And I did learn so much at Pod Fest and I left feeling super inspired, which I think is so important for any creative to like.

00:42:27 Simona

Make sure you're surrounding yourself with people who lift you up and people who want you know want to see you succeed and want to help.

00:42:35 Simona

I think that's so important, and then you know on the more technical side something that I learned from podcasts that is so important is how powerful video is and how powerful it will continue to be.

00:42:48 Simona

So I tell.

00:42:49 Simona

All my clients, if you're going to go and record a podcast, you might as well record it with the video at the same time.

00:42:55 Simona

Even if you don't use it right, you never know if you're going to want that video 510. You know months from now, or like a year from now.

00:43:02 Simona

Even to create content for social media, you know video form is very powerful, right?

00:43:07 Simona

It's you know, in a society in a world today where we don't always get to be near each other and see each other face to face, video gives it a different perspective.

00:43:16 Simona

Video gives us you know, a more personal relationship with someone, and it's how people relate to us.

00:43:22 Simona

They can see our.

00:43:23 Simona

Smiles, they can see our laughs and.

00:43:25 Simona

You know our.

00:43:25 Simona

Emotions as we're going through different episodes, so I think that would be like the two biggest takeaways that I would recommend for for all podcasters.

00:43:34 Dilip

Right, amazing and networking.

00:43:36 Dilip

I totally and it feels so good when you see that you're not alone in podcasting.

00:43:41 Dilip

There are so many other people who think you know similar to what your thought process is, right?

00:43:49 Dilip

OK, so you know, coming.

00:43:50 Dilip

To a question that I usually ask all of my guests so.

00:43:56 Dilip

From a podcasting perspective, if you are to start your podcast all over again today, then what are two primary things or two?

00:44:07 Dilip

Most important things that you will want to focus on, which basically what I what I'm trying to do is if there is somebody who's just wanting to get started.

00:44:16 Dilip

What are those two most important things that you think that needs to be focused on to get the start right?

00:44:17 Simona

You know?

00:44:24 Simona

Yes, the first one would be why?

00:44:26 Simona

So you're why for me, starting with why is the most important thing?

00:44:30 Simona

It's a concept that I learned from Simon Sinek.

00:44:32 Simona

Years ago, and it really is the basis for why you are launching your show.

00:44:38 Simona

It's what's going to keep you going in those really hard moments, and it's going to keep you going when you don't feel like showing up to edit your episode, or you don't feel like creating social media content because that.

00:44:48 Simona

Why becomes so much bigger than you, right?

00:44:51 Simona

And then the second thing.

00:44:53 Simona

Is knowing exactly who you're talking to?

00:44:57 Simona

Who is your podcast for, and what do they want to learn from you?

00:45:00 Simona

That is the.

00:45:00 Simona

Most important thing it will drive all of your content.

00:45:04 Simona

It'll allow you to position your messaging properly.

00:45:07 Simona

You know you'll.

00:45:07 Simona

Know how to you know.

00:45:10 Simona

Describe your show what your intro and outro are going to be like.

00:45:14 Simona

It really drives everything, so I think that those two pieces are so important.

00:45:18 Simona

And then of course I'll throw in a bonus one here of course.

00:45:20 Simona

But the power of community making sure you're building that community around you.

00:45:24 Dilip

Right, right, yeah?

00:45:26 Dilip

You know when you're getting started, we all talk about putting together a podcasting strategy so Simona from your perspective in all of the things that go into a podcasting strategy, the launch, the content plan, the promotional strategy, the monetization strategy, what?

00:45:41 Dilip

According to you, is the thing that people need to most focus on.

00:45:46 Dilip

When they are starting and what are your tips on that specific asset?

00:45:52 Simona

Right?

00:45:52 Simona

Oh, that is such a hard question.

00:45:54 Simona

'cause I want to say all of it.

00:45:57 Simona

I think all of it, and I'm just kidding.

00:46:01 Simona

Wow, that is so good I.

00:46:03 Simona

Really think it comes back down to.

00:46:09 Simona

Your content, like the content that you're putting out there every single day you know, or every single week.

00:46:18 Simona

Or you know every single month or however you know.

00:46:21 Simona

Often your podcast is.

00:46:24 Simona

If you don't have the content right, it doesn't really matter what launch strategy and plan you have.

00:46:30 Simona

'cause like yes, the launch strategy and the plan will get you.

00:46:33 Simona

You know, some downloads and some listeners and subscribers, but if the content isn't good.

00:46:38 Simona

You're not going.

00:46:38 Simona

To have people who are going to stay.

00:46:40 Simona

You know, so I think.

00:46:41 Simona

That's so important.

00:46:43 Simona

That and also making sure that your sound is clear like it doesn't have to be. You know, 110% perfect.

00:46:50 Simona

And all of that.

00:46:51 Simona

But like making sure that you you know if you're on an interview with someone, your Wi-Fi isn't cutting out left, right and center, and you know you're you're not clinging things in the background, and you know sometimes what happens is people will wear, like you know.

00:47:05 Simona

Headphones with a microphone on it and the microphone will like rub against like their scarf or sweater or something like that.

00:47:10 Simona

Or they they?

00:47:11 Simona

And it's so distracting.

00:47:12 Simona

So anyways, that's just like a bonus thing that I.

00:47:14 Simona

Was just thinking about that I think is important too.

00:47:17 Simona

I'm sure you can understand that one.

00:47:20 Dilip

Yeah, definitely.

00:47:23 Dilip

And then it takes hours to clear that audio.

00:47:26 Simona

Exactly exactly and honestly, it's just so much more work afterwards, like my biggest thing is like I just would rather get the microphone set up perfectly first.

00:47:34 Simona

You know and have the sound actually sound good and then record it instead of having to go back and like fix it.

00:47:39 Simona

All up afterwards.

00:47:40 Simona

So much more work that way.

00:47:42 Dilip

Right, so have.

00:47:43 Dilip

Nice, some very, you know, intricate coins that you you touched upon and very informative.

00:47:52 Dilip

Things that we spoke today.

00:47:54 Dilip

Simona and it is so nice listening to you.

00:47:58 Dilip

Learning from you a lot of the things about podcast, consultation, and I'll, I'll tell you.

00:48:02 Dilip

See, you know while we all talk about podcast production agency, I think what matters a lot is what are the specific things that you focus.

00:48:12 Dilip

On in that podcast, production agency, because I think that if you're going to do anything and everything for everybody, that isn't a sustainable model and something that you said about turnkey solutions for your clients.

00:48:25 Dilip

It makes so much sense from that perspective, so there were so many good things that you you you told us Simona and it was wonderful talking to you.

00:48:36 Dilip

Excellent information.
