Struggling with Podcast Promotions? Wondering how do you get the initial push for your podcast?
Then you are sure to enjoy this conversation.
One of the most common problems with any new podcaster is to get the initial audience. And it is isn’t uncommon for a show to get fizzled out without that initial impetus.
A lot of new podcasters start their show and when they don’t see that traction around listenership, they quit. But the irony is that they do all this in spite of them having a huge resource for that initial push, at their disposal.
Your “Social Circles”.
Social media has changed what we call “Social Circles”.
A little more than 8 years back, a social circle would have been around 10, 15 or, 20 of your friends and acquaintances you know.
Or, it’s the handful of co-workers at your office. Or, maybe a few of those people you met at the few parties you attended.
And even if your social circle had about 50 people, the next mission was to keep in touch with all of them.
Oh no! Not working. Isn’t it?
When you look at these aspects, you realize the tremendous impact that Social media has had on your social circles.
But then, the question is – Why aren’t we using these social circles to spread the word about our podcast?
Our guest on the show this week is somebody who thought differently and leveraged his contacts to publicize his podcast.
This week we have Karthik Vijaykumar from “The Design your Thinking Podcast”, talking to me about how he transformed his show into a huge success.
